A point was all that was needed but this team doesn’t work like that.

Went a goal down on 25 mins and not creating enough chances in the first half saw us on the back foot right up to half time. What ever Jack and Bob said to the lads spurred them on and a refreshed side came out in the second half and went for the game. After some great work and attacks on the Booters defence we were granted a penalty for a hand ball in the box, up steps Colm Treacy who sent the keeper the wrong way and Thomastown with 1 hand on the League Title. We could of easily sat back and defended all the way to the final whistle but no the lads wanted to go out with a bang and claim all 3 points.

Some more great attacking play on the 79th minute landed the ball to Aidan Donnelly who put the ball into the back of the net and that was it. The League title was back in Thomastown’s hands. Final score 2-1
