Our 12 girls white team recorded their first win of the season with a brilliant 4-1 win over Freebooters White. Thomastown missed a host of chances before captain Lara Fargie went on a mazy run & finished with a shot to the bottom corner. Lara made it 2 with another tidy finish just before the break. With the back 3 of Roisin Furlong, Sadie Smyth & Georgie Rose Begley in commanding form Freebooters were finding it hard to test Thomastown keeper Aoibhinn Muldoon. Into the second half & the impressive Martha O’ Shea made it 3 for the home team. The game was made safe when Lara Fargie completed her hat trick with 10 minutes to go. Booters pulled one back late on but the Thomastown girls held out for a deserved victory. Player of the match goes to Lara who scored a hat trick.
